The role

This is a senior role responsible for leading the implementation of the maintenance management system and process across a wide area of the business. 

The Coordinator Maintenance Planning and Processing works directly with asset custodians, maintenance personnel and management to provide senior specialist advice and services, for effective maintenance planning and processing using the maintenance management system.

You will take responsibility for

  • Working with asset custodians to develop detailed maintenance specifications and maintenance plans including budget requirements for all council assets.
  • Ensuring response to maintenance processing meets council requirements and provides maintenance analysis for asset custodians and other key stakeholders.
  • Work with operational maintenance personnel in the provision of efficient maintenance processing.
  • Liaise closely with operational staff to ensure maintenance plans align with resources and response times according to maintenance specifications.
  • Work with the council customer contact centre in the provision of effective response maintenance management.
  • Ensure the efficient end-to-end processing of maintenance notifications and work orders including the reconciliation of internal costs and external purchase orders.
  • Continually develop the Maintenance Management System to support planned and response maintenance processes, including analysis to support strategic asset management planning activities.
  • Managing a team of fifteen staff who are responsible for reactive maintenance processing and management of maintenance plans within the Maintenance Management System.

Requirements for the role

  • Hold a Degree of Business Management, Process Engineering or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.
  • A natural leader who champions change and inspires people to achieve their personal and organisational goals.
  • Effective time management skills including demonstrated capacity to work under pressure and the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
  • A sound knowledge of SAP would be highly desirable.

Salary information

  • Permanent position
  • Salary information $105 135.00 – $118 480.00 annual and weekly $2 021.00 - $2 278.00
  • Up to 18% superannuation contribution (includes employee and employer)
  • 17.5% leave loading on annual leave

About Business and Program Management Branch

  • Providing excellence in governance, business management and support functions for the Directorate.
  • Program/project governance including planning, reporting, programming, communication and system support to the Transport and Infrastructure Directorate.
  • Providing disaster management and response for the City.
  • Business and Program Management focus on establishing a supportive and cohesive working culture building on the great skills and capabilities of the Transport and Infrastructure staff.

Transport and Infrastructure directorate is ultimately here to deliver quality infrastructure and services that align with the broader organisation vision and purpose. The directorate consists of asset custodians, service providers and business support roles that all contribute to the overall management, delivery and maintenance of quality infrastructure and services.
