Position reports to Global Costing Manager. This role will be a Business Partner interacting with multiple levels and positions in project management, product management, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, materials, finance, demand management, pricing, and purchasing.
Manage annual standard recost roll
Calculate Kissling manufacturing plant cost center rates and review with local finance and operations teams
Calculate material burden and review with local finance and operations teams
Review annual budget and effects it has on cost center rates with local teams.
Perform daily interim costing/marking and releasing costs
Investigate and correct cost errors
Conduct management report-out during annual standard recost process.
Work as business partner with Operations and Product Management
Footprint analysis to determine optimal manufacturing location for products
Ad-hoc projects and analysis for Operations and Product Management teams
Must be willing to develop high level of understanding of Kissling/ICT:
Develop strong network
Analysis of standard costs and actual production costs and resolution of issues
Margin analysis specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability
Comparison of actual costs to estimates and analysis of variances, such as manufacturing variances, purchase price variances, etc.
On time delivery to customers for new part setup through RTS system
Loading Material Masters, BOM’s, routings, Production Versions, Equipment Records, Hierarchies, Work Centers, and other required information while partnering with engineering to ensure BOM’s/Routings/Work Centers are setup properly. Use the RTS system to make assignments to ensure new part setup is completed
Completion of monthly health checks and physical audits for data accuracy to prevent operational downtime and to ensure accuracy of production data, update existing master data
This position will not only be responsible for efficient and accurate data setup but will also add value to the business by providing an ongoing review of production master data. This individual will join other team members of master data in providing analytical support to costing, finance teams.
What your background should look like:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or in Industrial Engineering or other Engineering field
Experience: 5+ yrs. Cost Accounting experience for a large manufacturing company preferably machine shop. Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of costs. Lean manufacturing experience a plus.
Knowledge requirements: Cost Accounting and Financial Analysis, Industrial engineering methods and techniques Software/Systems: Excel, SAP experience
Skills: Strong analytical and problem solving, oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and management skills
Language: Ability to speak and read German and English at a proficient level
