We’re looking for a Country Manager, Germany to lead our monetization efforts in the region. You will be responsible for setting forth the overall sales strategy for the German market and working closely with cross-functional partners to drive revenue growth for our emerging business in the country. You'll develop the teams as we establish our presence and drive fast growth of our ads business in this region. As the Country Manager, this leader will be tasked with developing and executing a local strategy, as well as a wide range of general management responsibilities.

This is a full-time position based in Germany and we are open to any of the 4 locations including Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and Düsseldorf.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead our sales strategy and execution for Germany at Pinterest
  • Develop market and competitive assessments to identify and drive new opportunities for Pinterest in Germany
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop a market strategy that enables Pinterest to win the market by meeting partner marketing objectives, scaling partner media investment, and creating meaningful and sustainable revenue growth
  • Build on established relationships and develop new relationships with industry CEOs, CMOs, and other key executive decision-makers in the German market
  • Shape the future of our German Sales organization by building, training and motivating a high performing sales team
  • Partner closely with Sales Operations and Measurement teams to analyze data trends and client performance, as to scale shared learnings and best practices to grow client’s business through Pinterest solutions
  • Act as an external spokesperson and evangelize our brand in Germany

What we're looking for:

  • 15+ years of experience in the digital media industry with 10+ years of management experience including managing managers
  • Proven success as an executive sales leader across revenue strategy, sales productivity, and industry partnerships
  • Deep understanding and established network in the consumer internet market in the local market
  • Strong understanding of performance, data, and measurement landscapes, with demonstrated experience using data and trends to develop winning strategies
  • Strong focus on operational excellence by having introduced new performance measures, processes, and systems
  • Fluent in German and English language

  • Strong influencing skills to build and direct sales priorities and decisions
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills with the ability to translate insights, product information, and data into key client objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a start-up environment and incubating new businesses
  • A passion for Pinterest

Who you will work with:

  • Consult with Product Marketing, Ad Product, Insights/Measurement, Creative Strategy, Agency, Marketing, PR and Engineering teams to influence product development and support in the country
