Manage departmental operating budgets and costs according annual allocation ensure efficient usage of resources
Manage the implementation of credit policy, processes and internal controls ensure governance over the credit control/collections function
Assign credit limits on new cus mer accounts based on the existing credit policy and creditworthiness of new cus mers. Provide input in the setting up of terms and conditions in the agreement with cus mers
Review credit and collection his ry of existing cus mers. Anticipate those who are likely default on payments and proactively moni r their payments
Follow-up on key outstanding deb rs/intercompany balances and recommend solutions recover debts. Critically assess those balances that are no longer recoverable
Manage renegotiation of cus mer payment plans and reassignment of credit limits ensure recoverability of debts
Manage continuous improvement initiatives streamline existing credit control processes and improve efficiencies through a better utilization of au mated systems
Partner with internal stakeholders in improving collections (e.g. days sales outstanding, monthly collection targets, etc.) and resolving potential collection issues
Build and maintain long-term relationships with cus mers ensure timely recovery of payments
