Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide problem solving, data processing, data modelling support to the various HSM team.

Provide meaningful analysis and insights (as well as some data support) to HS teams to guide actions through data to support all channels (IB, CS, PD).

Provide and explain business outcomes/results through robust analysis and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Problem Solving
    • Provide analysis support to HS teams in areas of claims analytics, fraud/abuse/waste identification, operational initiatives (plus others)
    • Support analysis to tackle business problems from top down to bottom up. Ability to ask the right, relevant questions, develop hypothesis and framework, while keeping in mind practical workplans and timeline to arrive at insights
  • Data Processing and Analysis

    • Determine data requirements and methods to collect and validate data, based on analysis objective. Structure, mine and make sense of data from external and internal data sources
    • Apply data mining, statistical analysis, machine learning techniques to turn data into actionable insights, evaluate alternative solutions and predict outcomes
    • When applicable, create dashboards and prototypes as working solutions for business users
  • Business  Updates and Reporting

    • Support analytics to provide updates to key stakeholders on status of the business
    • Explain business outcomes by identifying drivers, and suggest actions to address any issues
  • Written Reports and Oral Presentations

    • Present insights in written format (management update, reports, slide presentations)
    • Communicate insights to business users with ability to break down technical concepts into easy-to-understand language
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Hands-on experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL is required, and statistical tools such as R, Python or SAS is desired.
  • Self-driven individual with strong will to learn, tackle the unknowns and contribute to the team and organization
  • Team player and leader critical. Self-initiator highly valued.
  • Highly analytical and quantitative, with strong attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience with Visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or equivalent preferred, but not a must as long as you have the drive to learn
  • Good understanding of statistics and data modelling techniques
  • Capable of story-telling, excellent verbal and written presentation skills in English
  • Ability to engage across and with various teams and disciplines with the company
