Digital Finance, a subdivision of CWM, is composed of the firm’s digitally-led consumer businesses which include the global online consumer deposits business and the US online consumer lending business, the firm’s first-ever direct-to-consumer platform built from the ground up. Digital Finance combines the strength and heritage of a 147-year-old financial institution with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit of a tech start-up. YOUR IMPACT


We are pursuing several growth initiatives within the Marcus credit card portfolio that require sourcing data from external suppliers. You will be part of the data management team within the product group responsible for sourcing the data, normalizing the data into logical data classes, and working with engineering to build a scalable data framework that supports business processes, analytics, reporting, and controls.

JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a hands-on Sr. Data Analyst who will help with all things associated with data:

  • Management and oversight of cards product data, including data setup and data validation.
  • Ensure the flow of data underneath all of the analytics is accurate and correct.
  • Project management for the initiatives driven by the team.
  • Develop regulatory and business important reporting through automated reporting toolkits.
  • Write requirements to source the data and map it to the various business processes.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis, interpret, visualize and present the "data story" to the stakeholders.
  • Manage data dictionaries and large data stores.
  • Develop mastery of credit card data and metrics.
  • Use your inquisitive mind set to identify control weakness, mitigate risk, and improve current processes, procedures and reports including automation of manual processes.
  • This role is within Cards Product group (not engineering).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced data analysis skills using SQL, intermediate data analysis skills using Python.
  • Experience in industry standard tools such as Tableau or Alteryx preferred.
  • Problem solving and documentation skills with an ability to understand complex workflows.
  • Demonstrated competency in data analysis and visualization.
  • Proactive and self-starting individual with solid teamwork skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced organization and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience with credit cards or other lending products.
  • Prior experience with projects centred around data sourcing.
