Data Product Owner

WHAT TO EXPECT DAY TO DAY

As a Data Product Owner, the successful candidate will become a key member of a dynamic and diverse team developing innovative solutions for the energy and railway industries. Our products improve our customers’ operational performance through technologies providing insights in various domains such as asset monitoring, asset optimization and predictive maintenance.

You will implement the vision for data products and collaborate closely with business and stakeholders to understand business requirements and priorities to define the data roadmap.

You will be responsible for innovation and end-to-end launch of products.

You will work closely with engineering, product development, data engineering, data science, QA and business to effectively deliver. Foster collaboration across the organization, and throughout the product lifecycle.

You will support and design strong data products using raw data, derived data, and algorithms to engineer solutions with automation, decision support, decision-making functionalities, and machine learning.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing functional requirements, execution, and performance for new data products, as well as assisting our clients to deploy new AI solutions, while building a data-driven culture.

You will be the voice of the target users in the development team. You will deeply understand how they interact with our product, and how they use alternative products.

You will define key operational metrics and establish an efficient process to track progress and report regularly on these metrics to evaluate the product performance.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• 5+ years experience as a data engineer, data scientist or data product owner.
• Knowledge of Data Engineering/Data Science principles
• Knowledge of AI and ML products lifecycle
• Experience working on the delivery of big data projects
• Entrepreneurial flair to understand the business issues in the market and to develop relevant data products to meet demand
• Experience creating product roadmaps from conception to launch, implementing the product vision, defining go-to-market strategy, working with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with the performance evaluation for AI/ML products
• Ability to communicate with people at all levels (technical, C-suite, business, …) to facilitate change, adaptability and team working

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related technical field, equivalent work experience will be considered.

DESIRABLE

• Extensive understanding of good data governance practises.
• Experience within integrating data solutions with established products.
• Experience with roadmap management.
• Domain knowledge of power distribution networks and operations is a plus.
