VMware Tanzu is seeking Deal Desk Manager is responsible for actively working with the Services Sales, Operations and Legal teams to facilitate commercial closure of services transactions. The primary focus of this position is to address the diverse needs of internal stakeholders in the services sales process, maximize revenue and increase the productivity of our sales teams. This role represents a unique opportunity to build this function at scale within a globally successful business.

On a daily basis you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, manage data integrity (Salesforce.com, Oracle, SAP & Zuora) triage deal flow and help structure profitable and compliant business proposals. This role is viewed as a true value-add partner and considered the business liaison to the field services sales community.
Work closely and interact with Sales, Finance, Legal and Sales Operations departments to provide accurate route to market documentation (SoWs, Quotes, deal forms etc) and optimize contract terms for Services.
Manage Services deal flow from quote to cash, creating appropriate business processes, policies and guidelines.
Actively participate in deal reviews with prospects and sales teams, communicating consistently on deal flow progress and requirements.
Support business managers to assist in processing order transactions at End of Quarter.
Educate field sales and cross-functions on the latest product bundles, offerings & policies / operating guidelines.
Structure and analyze complex SoWs to maximize revenue and ensure appropriate product/service mix
Review and validate all Tanzu SoWs and order related documentation to ensure a complete arrangement for booking.
Complete ad-hoc projects as required
Build and maintain best practice documents to ensure maximum efficiency in workings with sales team
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively to get things done.
5+ years experience (in a software environment, in a Finance/Order Management, Price structuring role)
Data analysis, modeling and/or financial analysis experience
Proficiency with Salesforce.com is recommended
Strong communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Capable of explaining concepts clearly and credibly across all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
Must be willing to work extended hours during end of quarter
