What will you do?

  • Knowledge on how to correspond and communicate with clients (by telephone and in writing).
  • Practical experience in dealing death claims or policy services related enquiries.
  • Proficiency in English and Afrikaans (speak, read and write).
  • Knowledge of policy service administration systems and
  • Knowledge of Death claims processes and legislation will be advantageous.

What will make you successful in this role?

Experience:

  • Experience in dealing with policy or plan related enquiries.
  • Experience in Death claims business operations and processes would be to your benefit.
  • Broad understanding of business activities outside of the Death claims.

Personal qualities:

  • Commitment to serving our customers.
  • Understanding, Sympathy, and compassion (Empathy), is critical.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task between telephone and the computer is very important for the role.
  • It is important to function well in a team setting.

Qualification and Experience

Grade 12 with 2 years related experience.

Knowledge and Skills

Claims administration
Claims settlements
Claims approvals and rejections
Operate within claims guidelines and compliance
