Job Purpose:
The Deputy Director Direct Sales is responsible for leading the Singapore Direct Sales Team who are tasked with recruiting international students from across China, North Asia, South Asia and South East Asia to the full range of products in Study Group?s Higher Education portfolio. The Deputy Director will also support the Global Direct Sales Director with the operational leadership of the global direct sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Align the Singapore Direct Sales team with Study Group?s Vision 2022 guiding principles to ensure a full contribution to the strategic business outcomes
+ Meet annual sales (NSE) targets by Area, Product and Lead Source
+ Drive a high performance culture underpinned by best-in-class sales coaching and development that enables team members to achieve individual sales targets and development goals and meet activity KPIs through positive reinforcement
+ Deliver the Direct Sales Performance Cadence for the Singapore DS team and share best practice with the UK Direct Sales Manager
+ Lead the Direct Channel forecasting process across China and NSSA and deputise for the Global Direct Sales Director when necessary
+ Identify training needs of Student Enrolment Advisors and liaise with Product and Market subject matter experts to facilitate an ongoing calendar of training
+ Develop and manage the Direct Sales knowledge management system
+ Be the global lead for the Direct Sales call quality coaching programme with responsibility for driving improvements across all DS locations, performance tracking and IT developments
+ Analyse weekly sales reports to identify drivers and size impact. Share insights with stakeholders including the Global Direct Sales Director, Sales Directors for China & NSSA and Digital Marketing
+ Be the global lead on Pre-Confirmation Admissions matters and foster closer working relationships with all teams located in the Global Access Hub under the One Team principle
+ Partner with the Senior Business Development Manager China to grow sales from the China APD lead source, reporting regularly to the China APD management group including China Sales
+ Ensure compliance with all aspects of the Direct Sales Process including, but not limited to, Lead Management and Opportunity Management and Salesforce data capture
+ Contribute to the development and implementation of new and existing technologies
+ Provide weekly sales insights to the Direct Sales Governance Group
+ Support the Global Director as and when required on additional projects
Qualifications & Training:
+ Tertiary educated (preferably in Business and/or Marketing)
+ Fluency in English
+ Experience of using Salesforce or other Customer Relationship Management systems
+ Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Experience Required:
+ 5+ years in a sales leadership role
+ Proven track-record in building high-performing sales teams
+ Experience in direct/telesales
+ Experience managing a regionally diverse team and of building strong working relationships across international boundaries
+ Experience of selling a complex and diversified portfolio
+ Experience of devising engaging and compelling sales scripts
+ Knowledge and experience of the global higher education sector
+ Highly proficient at using and analysing Excel reports
