Position summary

IHS Markit is looking for an experienced professional with quantitative/Financial background to join the Index Product Analysis & Design (iBoxx) team in Noida.

The focus of the role is to support the development of new IHS Markit and bespoke indices for clients, focusing on leveraging assets available to IHS Markit and creating innovative products.

Additionally, the individual will also manage projects on the setup and integration of new fixed income and FX indices into production.

Quality control: checks and testing of index calculation and output files around the release of new indices

Duties & accountabilities

The individual will:

Perform tasks associated with the setup of indices and the process of the index rebalancing

Specify the implementation for the internal IT development

Closely cooperate with dealers and asset managers during the setup process

Verify the index calculation and implementation process around the release of new indices

Partner with the IT, Sales, Index Management and Index Operations teams as well as other teams in IHS Markit globally.

Business competencies

Education and experience

University post graduate or equivalent, preferably in computing, finance-related or natural sciences.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

SQL programming skills

Proven financial markets knowledge or knowledge of standard financial data vendor software is a plus.

Detail orientation and excellence in data management

Enthusiasm and proactivity with focus on delivery and quality of the projects

Ability to work in a team environment, as the work is across teams and client facing.
