The Ethernet Products Group (EPG) develops high speed cutting edge Ethernet Controller products with support for crypto and compression capabilities, advanced HW-based storage protocols and compute capabilities. Our Smart NIC products are targeted for the Communications, Cloud & Data Centre segments and serve as a critical ingredient of Intel's Data Centric strategy. We are in the process of growing a team to develop ARM Compute Systems to put the “smarts” in our NICs. This team will own the micro-architecture, design, integration and verification of next generation of these compute systems. Work will also include close engagements with the Architecture, DFt, Physical Design, Emulation/Post Silicon Validations & Software teams to ensure meeting customer requirements and guaranteeing quality, performance, power and testability. You will be part of a team of talented engineers in Ireland as well as collaborating with multiple other groups inside of Intel to develop our networking products.

Shannon is the primary location for this position, however, we offer flexibility to work from other Intel sites in Leixlip and Cork. In addition we are happy to facilitate arrangements which facilitate a Home Office set up, from a work/life balance perspective .

Qualifications:

• Honours degree (level 8 on [...] in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5y+ design or verification experience in an ASIC development company.
• Experience with industry standard tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with ASIC project development stages.
• Networking experience is beneficial.
• Knowledge of DFt, physical design and emulation environments.
• Strong communication skills to work within a multi-Geo multi-cultural environment.

Specifically experience in these areas would be very beneficial:

• Understanding of AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB, ACE).
• Hands on experience in design or verification of ARM sub-systems.
• Familiarity with SoC interconnect fabrics (ARM's CoreLink or NetSpeed's NOC).
