PEGA Strategy Designer

The SMB Loyalty & Customer Value cross-functional team is being established to support our SMB business unity to maximising the lifetime value of every Optus SMB customer.  The team will focus on delivering the business with a clear view and insights on the SMB base, build predictive models for churn and base growth and executing on campaigns to drive incremental uplift in base growth and customer retention.

The role

The Manager, Strategy Design sits within the Decisioning Operations Team and will use their extensive knowledge of marketing technology, Optus’ strategic goals and Optus’ Next Best Action platform (powered by Pega) to drive scale, optimisation, automation and high-performing Pega strategies to support Optus’ current and future strategic goals.

These strategies will support sales, base management, engagement and enrichment opportunities driving incremental GAs, churn reduction, value growth, increased NPS and lower cost marketing.

As a senior member of a cross-organisational team, with rare knowledge of the Pega Marketing application they will also be required to mentor stakeholders within Loyalty & Customer Value Management, Data Centre of Excellence, Digital Marketing & Customer Engagement and Frontline teams in order to enable best-practice use of the NBA platform and fast-track our ability to grow revenue, increase scale and automation, reduce costs and improve customer experience.

The Strategy Design Manager will have the following objectives:

  • Collaborate with CVM directors to deliver the strategy, development and presentation of a roadmap of marketing activities to deliver incremental growth & cost reduction opportunities
  • Develop & deliver a Sales strategy using insights, product knowledge, & business inputs to evolve our NBA capability beyond program scope
  • Ensure adherence to proposition entry criteria & maintenance of the marketing activity integration strategy for transitioning existing activity into NBA platform
  • Ensure the delivery of consistent and relevant sales propositions to customers.

In addition, this role is functionally responsible for a number of objectives relating to excellence in executional delivery:

  • Roadmap support and commercial information dissemination for proposition analysts
  • Identification of incremental sales opportunities

About you

The ideal candidate for this role must be analytical, a good problem solver with an advanced knowledge of PEGA NBA. Good intrapersonal skills are also important to support cross functional engagement and decision making alongside peers.

Preferred skills and experience include:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in Telco/Service industries and in marketing
  • Exposure to P&L Management in previous roles
  • Pega Marketing certification
  • Advanced SQL &/or SAS
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Working knowledge of Australian Privacy & Regulatory guidelines relating to customer information and use
