Job Description

This role will be heavily focused in growing the local business – to develop and enhance strategic partnerships, hunt new business, and win longer term deals to generate growth in the Connected Freight business.


Responsibilities:


Lead Generation: CDM must be able to develop his/her own list of leads that are aligned with business development plans and ensure that hot leads are pursued with high conversion rate; work closely with lead generation agency and marketing to thoroughly vet lead generation agency prospect list

Efficient Selling: focus on securing new customers and properly monitoring the progress of prospects

Key client programs: working closely with Marketing to ensure that awareness of Connected Freight through marketing events are maximized; create own marketing initiatives in collaboration with Marketing to increase market penetration;

Account management, training and coaching: Acting as business consultant, the CDM must ensure that customers’ needs are addressed and are satisfied with the use of the CF System; CDM will work together with the Operations team to attain CSI goals; CDM is expected to conduct regular client visits to train new users, cascade new features and troubleshoot any problems/issues; utilize feedback from customers to help build on the product development plan

Pitches: visit leads and pitch CFV business to atleast 10 clients per week; customize sales presentations depending on client’s business needs and co-develop materials with Marketing based on feedback from customers

Other: undertake other BD & Marketing activities as required; conduct administrative activities related to the selling process

• Requiring an increased focus on hunting for new business, while maintaining existing customers.

• Working across multiple stakeholders including a diverse range of internal and external interfaces

• Working on project that requires input and alignment across numerous functions and which depend upon advanced commercial negotiation skills

• Ability work in a lean and agile environment and aligned with start-up culture

Requirements

• An appropriate tertiary qualification (likely to be in marketing, business or management)

• Excellent English Language written/verbal communication skills

• Strong team and stakeholder management, training and coaching experience across different levels

• Experience in dealing with highly intelligent and demanding internal clients at a senior level

• Effective interpersonal, influencing and project management skills

• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with requisite personal drive and energy
