Effectively strengthen and grow the DFS leadership development culture and internal talent pool through the implementation, delivery and support of development related activities. The role encompasses training coordination, design, delivery, consultation and follow-up regarding development plans, performance management education and coaching as well as people related contributions to assist the achievement of DFS business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and implement leadership programmes that are aligned with the business priorities and strategic objectives to support the business growth.
• Identify the training gaps and formulate the training needs analysis for leadership development.
• Design training plan to support the career development of the leadership team.
• Conduct training in areas ranging from supervisory/ management skills to selling and service, as required to fill identified needs.
• Serve as consultant on leadership development and execution of training ensuring highest quality of instructional design and delivery.
• Ensure delivery of an effective leadership induction & on-boarding program to support retention of new talent and encourage a smooth transition into the business.
• Evaluate current training vendors for continued suitability, initiate and maintain relationships with all required vendors to meet region/company training needs.
• Manage co-ordination and effective delivery of Company and Group training programs in support of strategic objectives and leadership development.
• Identify individual coaching and developmental needs for the leadership team.
• Provide support and education on performance management for line management.
• Review and revise course materials to remain current with operating processes, procedures and systems.
• Participate in any ad hoc projects as assigned by the Senior Learning and Development Manager
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Human Resources or Learning & Development; or at least five years of related work experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum five years’ experience in Retail Training/ Hospitality or similar experience required.
• Experience in luxury travel business and creating development and training programs a plus.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills. Fluency in English verbal and written skills and bilingual language skills in Japanese, Korean or Mandarin desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a special sensitivity to work in a multi-cultural environment.
• Strong leadership abilities.
• Must be able to work with all levels of personnel both within and outside of organization.
• Flexible to work schedule to meet business needs.
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
