The role:

ClickView is a fast-growing company in the digital video delivery space. We make video learning easy by building innovative tools, systems and services to provide the education sector with an intuitive platform to view and share high quality digital media.

You will be joining a fast-moving Product Team that ships code to production many times a week, and working with some very talented engineers and designers. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate DevOps Engineer to join a high performing and passionate team.

As a DevOps Engineer you will be working on some challenging and fun projects. We are hosted in AWS and use best-of-breed open web technologies. These include MySQL, Redis, Elastic Search, RabbitMQ and Docker.

Our stack is C#/.NET Core and JavaScript/Typescript but we’re never afraid to use the right tool for the job!

We are currently running everything in an automated, containerised environment that auto scales with demand and are big on infrastructure-as-code.

We have an up-time of 99.999% and we’re proud of it, come and help us achieve another few 9s.

Who you are

You're a smart, personable and friendly DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer who communicates in a clear and concise manner. You live and breathe best-practice engineering and are passionate about learning new technologies. You are comfortable working with AWS or Azure, have experience with virtualisation, and an interest in containerisation and infrastructure-as-code.


  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable with both Linux and Windows environments and have a familiarity with popular open web technologies (e.g. MySQL/Redis/Elastic Search/RabbitMQ/Docker)
  • At least 4 years’ experience in managing infrastructure and development environments
  • Experience with any Configuration Management and Automation tools (e.g. Sceptre/CloudFormation/Chef/Puppet/MSBuild)
  • Experience in IT operations with infrastructure and security responsibilities (e.g. network ACLs, security groups, IAM policy, logging, monitoring, etc.)
  • Experience in CI/CD Services (e.g. Git, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, MSBuild, etc)
  • Experience in scripting languages and infrastructure-as-code (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, CloudFormation, etc)
  • Experience in Public Cloud Platforms and their remote management features (Microsoft Azure, AWS)
  • Experience in containerisation and container management (Docker)
  • Experience in database administration and maintenance is desirable (MySQL/Galera/Aurora/SQLServer)
  • Experience in administration and provisioning of Linux and Windows OS
  • Experience with multi-site, hybrid cloud/on-premise, always-on, global operations.
  • Experience scaling microservice systems for high load.
