We’re changing, embedding alternate data sources such as GPS and satellite data into our forecasting, products will increasingly be tailored to individual clients, driven by some of the most innovative data in the market. A highly collaborative team of Product Managers, Customer Experience and Product Engineering is being created with a focus on creating business and customer value driven by real time analytics alongside our traditional products.

How you will contribute:

  • Monitor end-to-end availability and performance of mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence
  • Design, write and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of EIU services
  • Be available for on-call rotations across continents, currently via New York, London and Gurgaon, India
  • Educate engineering team members on AWS services and SRE/DevOps best practices
  • Work closely with our product teams to reduce the friction of deployments to production

The ideal skills for this role include:

  • 6+ years of total experience
  • Experience in Cloud Infrastructure setup and management, specifically AWS EC2, RDS, Lambda, Serverless, Cloudfront, Cloudformation, Codepipeline,ECS,VPC,IAM, ElasticSearch
  • Experience with Windows Server, IIS, MS SQL Server and .NET applications with scripting experience in Dotnet, Powershell or Python
  • Experience setting up APM/Deep monitoring with tools such as New Relic
  • Hands-on technical experience
  • Capable of technical deep-dives into code, networking, operating systems and storage
  • Find scalability bottlenecks and areas for performance improvements
  • Systematic problem solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive
  • Own and drive improvement on Mean-Time-To-Repair (MTTR), Mean-Time-Between-Incidents (MTBI), uptime
  • Perform deep-dive analysis for all major incidents, coordinating with all support teams, Infra teams to identify root cause in both Application and Infrastructure areas
  • Basic knowledge of OWASP, Firewalls, VPC, Application & Infrastructure security
  • Expertise in problem solving and analysing global scale distributed systems.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills (including listening, speaking, and writing) and the ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other SREs, developers, Product Managers, etc
  • User focused mindset and consideration of client-led SRE/DevOps practices
