The Director, Field IT Opening & Growth Delivery \- Asia Pacific will be responsible for the leadership of all technology related activities for Opening and Conversion hotels in Asia Pacific, drive alignment between Hilton and owners to make it easier to do business with us and support the company's strategic priority of delivering industry leading, high\-quality net unit growth\.
You will drive alignment of project delivery methodology at hotel openings and conversions\. This involves the understanding of Hilton technology strategies and providing leadership, structure and guidance to owners and operators to understand the commercial benefits and rationale of the Hilton technology standards\.
You will need to develop a strong collaborative partnerships with Owners, Development, Brand and Operations leadership and business partners and vendors that result in the on time and on budget delivery and support of technology solutions that meet the needs of the business\. The overall mission of this role is to make it easier for owners to work with Hilton as its hotel company of choice\.
What will I be doing?
The Director, Field IT Opening & Growth Delivery \- Asia Pacific will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
+ Set overall direction and project delivery methodology at hotel opening function, constantly evaluating efforts to maximize business value delivered\.
+ Identify and evaluate technology and service or support opportunities to drive improvement in business or technical performance\.
+ Develop strategic plans that support corporate goals and objectives\.
+ Communicate technology schedule and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders\.
+ Set short, medium and long\-term goals and objectives for the function and department\.
+ Determine the appropriate Area technology objectives for the business to accomplish strategic technology objectives\.
+ Establish department operational procedures and processes\.
+ Work with key business partners and clients to ensure strategic alignment on business and technology objectives\.
+ Work with key stakeholders and departments to allocate necessary resources to accomplish objectives\.
+ Determine priorities for department and the process for the assignment of work\.
+ Report and engage with Senior Executive Level Operational owners and functional opening teams to ensure an open and proactive communication on key deliverables, timelines and project risks\.
+ Manage the cross\-functional links between supporting departments\.
+ Implement appropriate measures and controls to ensure optimal performance of function and accomplishment of objectives\.
+ Implement Project Management methodology to deliver opening and conversion projects on time and on budget\.
+ Oversee the development and administration of the department\.
+ Provide direction to the department in the performance of its duties\.
+ Influence decisions of owners, operators, functional groups and other stakeholders involved in hotel opening\.
+ Oversee strategic partners and vendors to ensure proper project management, resource allocation and compliance with established service levels\.
+ Leverage effective partnerships with hotel ownership, vendors, internal constituents and other departments to accomplish objectives\.
+ Provide day\-to\-day oversight of department activities, controls and measures to ensure achievement of objectives and compliance with company and department policies and procedures\.
+ Set and approve departmental budget to ensure optimal financial results and oversee performance\.
+ Identify tools, systems and processes necessary for department operation
+ Translate organizational goals and objectives into performance standards for department and individual positions\.
+ Establish and enforce policies and procedures that will improve overall performance and effectiveness of the Company\.
+ Ensure team is equipped and trained to carry out objectives in a variety cultures and markets within the Area\.
+ Provide direction and leadership in the recruitment of Field Technology Services team members for pre\-opening hotels\.
+ Determine department staff training and development needs\.
+ Work with direct reports on goals to assist in accomplishing department initiatives, and their own career objectives\.
+ Define talent management plan to build a pool of future leadership resources to support and scale growth\.
