Job Description:
As a member of the profitability management team and a trusted business partner to SLF International management, this role is accountable for delivering timely and robust financial analytics that facilitate making business decisions. This includes driving the expense management practice across SLF International: from reporting budget variances to management, to working with management to develop the annual budget while focusing on expense discipline and expense productivity. In addition, this role is accountable for reviewing financial statements for SLF International, including subsidiaries and recommending any necessary actions to maintain solvency and liquidity; and for providing financial related requirements to support quarterly filings to the Bermuda regulator.
This position reports to the Assistant Vice President, Finance, Risk and Controls.

Preferred skills
+ Experience with Oracle and Hyperion financial reporting tools.
+ Experience in the financial services or insurance industry.
+ Understanding of IFRS accounting.
+ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. This position has direct contact with SLF International management, as well as FP&A teams in US BG and Asia BG.
+ Strong organizational skills and commitment to meeting deadlines.
+ Flexibility to lead a team as well as perform as a team member and function in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
+ 8-10 years of relevant finance experience.
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance or related major.
+ CPA or CA professional designation preferred.
Responsibilities
+ Manage a staff of one or two professionals.
+ Expense Management:
+ Provide monthly expense reporting to Asia BG Expense Team. Actively manage the monthly and quarterly management reporting processes, approve expense entries for subsidiary expense transfers, transfer pricing, and chargebacks from shared service areas.
+ Act as the primary liaison between SLF International and the US BG Expense Team who maintain the expense reporting database.
+ Create the annual budget, coordinating inputs from SLF International management.
+ Provide support and guidance on expense processing to Treasury team.

+ Work with relationship managers to coordinate and ensure all invoicing, expenses are paid appropriately, and reporting requirements are delivered timely for certain third party vendors..
+ Manage all financial aspects of inter-company expenses (transfer pricing, indirect overhead allocations, inter department chargebacks) including reviewing and recommending changes as appropriate.
+ Approve SLFIB insurance settlement, and Revenue Share accrual calculation.
+ Monitor subsidiary financials: Propose and implement actions to maintain solvency and liquidity.
+ Provide financial inputs for semi-annual board meeting for subsidiaries (SLFIB).
+ Annual/Quarterly Filings with Bermuda Regulator: Coordinate financial related items required as part of annual filings with BMA, and quarterly filings with Department of Statistics. Monitor changes to BMA reporting requirements.
+ Assist in development of the annual financial plan and strategic plan, providing insight into expense variances.
+ Support SLF International initiatives, providing financial and expense related information for new product initiatives, systems development, or other projects as required.
+ Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
