Focus Area of Contribution & Strategic Relevance:

Digital Creation E2E is a strategic board program under the digital umbrella building the must-have adidas creation infrastructure of the future. Focus is to digitize the end-to-end creation-to-shelf value chain, covering marketing, creation, sourcing (supplier integration) and sell-in.

It is an integral part of adidas strategy with the clear focus to drive engagement, speed, and efficiencies.

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

This is a key in-house strategy position for an organized, passionate and goal-oriented future leader who is able to serve as a facilitator between business vision and IT implementation.

  • Shape digital transformation projects with focus on IT landscape and the digital exchange E2E from Concept Brief to digital sell-in
  • Own a project portfolio and ensure delivery of major initiatives across functions
  • Support vision creation and roadmap for global implementation of solutions and tools and set strategic direction for roll-out of capabilities across brands
  • Act as DC E2E ambassador within the IT community and adidas functions in terms of priority setting and alignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support strategy development process and project portfolio prioritization within the Digital Creation E2E IT/Foundation landscape and act as thought leader for digital platforms and solution architecture
  • Accelerate and challenge business and IT functions through own impulses
  • Manage functional experts and product owners in the digital architecture and IT foundations space
  • Own and drive end-to-end digital transformation project portfolio with focus on digital product services, master data and workflow implementation
  • Serve as a thought leader in digital platforms and solution architecture
  • Support the DC E2E program in driving a sustainable process for master data management within the DC E2E process & system landscape
  • Drive analysis of how business requirements should be technically implemented & combine with external benchmarks x-industries
  • Evaluate third-party suppliers, products and solutions and engage in/leading collaborative discussions linked to DC E2E ramp up targets
  • Ensure link of program solutions to broader adidas IT system landscape and strategy
  • Steer effective communication in the business and IT domain
  • Take part in coordination and knowledge exchange with other directors of the digital transformation hub

Key Relationships:

  • Lead project activities and partner with stakeholders, with focus on the IT domain
  • Steer and encourage discussions with x-functional stakeholders to ensure adequate and timely alignment on proposed direction(s)
  • Independently identify and manage (senior) stakeholder group, establish solid working relationship and steer communication
  • Stakeholders can relate to the following core functions:
    • Product (Creation functions, Footwear, Apparel and A&G product ops, etc.)
    • Markets (SCM and Sales functions)
    • Marketing (horizontal and vertical BU divisions)
    • GOPS (Global IT, SCM, etc.)
    • Corporate functions
  • Be part of a larger digital transformation hub, holistically driving digital transformation at adidas

Hard skills:

  • Business acumen and system architecture and IT domain knowledge
  • Advanced leadership and management training
  • Excellent presentation and story-telling skills
  • Proven track records in managing large teams and/or external consultants
  • Ability to scope & frame large-scale projects and proven track records of strategic project management experience, advanced understanding of business process management, methodologies, and principles

Requisite Education and Qualifications:

  • Between 7-8 years of relevant work experience in digital transformation environment (e.g. top tier consulting, project management, apparel/fashion, IT domain);
  • Within which 2-3 years proven track record of experience in digital transformation focusing on system architecture, system integration and IT foundations
  • Direct team management a plus
  • University degree
