Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and highly motivated Director, Digital Marketing to lead Diligent’s portfolio of websites and SEO globally. Revenue and customer growth are the ultimate measures of success.
The Director of Digital Marketing will partner across the organization to drive digital web and SEO initiatives to attract new customers, convert prospects, and engage key accounts. This role will lead Diligent’s SEO, websites, and website user experience journey (in partnership with a broader digital user journey strategy), connecting the journey across digital platforms and channels. This role will partner with Marketing Operations to implement integrated campaigns and also ensure effective website/SEO reporting and analytics. This role is integral to exceeding Diligent’s growth goals. This position requires deep expertise in website development and ongoing management/prioritization of website enhancements, CRO/landing page optimization, managing digital agency resources to deliver optimum outcomes, and strong analytics skills.

A successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and demonstrate an ability to execute precisely and quickly. She or he must possess a strong understanding of B2B SaaS solution marketing with experience delivering high-converting marketing websites. This position requires execution as well as leadership of others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small, but mighty and solid, global digital marketing organization; able to execute as well as develop strategy
  • Oversee the global corporate websites (40 sites when including, sub-domains, and other brands’ sites) including strategy, UX, personalization, and web development. Actively prioritize requests and seek opportunities to build effectively for scale based on best web development practices. Manage the external agency that builds and supports the sites. Manage an upcoming site migration initiative
  • Lead development and execution of the SEO strategy, lead/conduct competitive SEO analysis, and help prioritize requirements for SEO implementation
  • Direct SEO technical execution
  • Participate in creating a seamless customer journey across all digital platforms, connecting all channels
  • Manage external agencies, prioritize projects, and align to exceed expected goals
  • Proactively collaborate with internal stakeholders

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience serving as the owner of the company website(s) and managing situations with multiple sites, globally. Ideally experience leading a website transformation and/or migration of multiple acquired company sites onto one site. Able to grasp and manage complex website structure, with agency support
  • UX/UI best practices
  • This position requires a high level of initiative, the ability to partner across the organization and prioritize across multiple teams effectively, as well as the ability to use data-driven insights to optimize digital marketing efforts. Top-notch organizational skills and high attention to detail are a must
  • Knowledgeable about cookie compliance, GDPR, CCPA
  • Proven CRO expert with strength in A/B and multivariate testing and landing page optimization. Experience proactively identifying opportunities for conversion improvement and prioritizing tests accordingly
  • Capable of creating or leading training on topics such as on-page SEO copy optimization and keyword research/expansion (or directing agency creation and delivery)
  • Proven expertise managing by KPIs
  • Exceptional organizational skills and accountability. Ability to oversee multiple work streams simultaneously and equally comfortable delegating or owning tasks, no matter how big or small
  • Ability to work successfully in a quick agile environment.
  • Proven success of leveraging in-house experts as well as partnering with external agencies
  • Expert in Wordpress, Domo, SFDC, Bizible, Drift, AB Tasty or Optimizely, Marketo, HTML/CSS, PHP,, Javascript, Network diagnostics for server/hosting management, Brightedge or similar tool, java, cookie and query string manipulation, google tag manager, SQL/Python, heatmapping tool experience
