Team Overview



The position in discussion is with the GDC practice under KPMG Global Services which provides Audit & Advisory professional services to KPMG US & Canada while complying with both regulatory and KPMG US Audit ET standards. Furthermore, GDC provides services in various industries/sectors including Investment Management, Insurance, Banking, Building Construction & Real Estate, Technology, Media & Telecommunications, Healthcare & Lifesciences, and Consumer Markets.

Job Description:



This is a Director level position that reports to the GDC COO and is responsible for enabling all strategic & operational initiatives important for the efficient functioning of the organization. This role would be responsible for leading the program management office and the resource management function together with providing the GDC leadership team with analytics & BI support. S/he should have prior proven experience in managing complex data and business analyses, measuring business performance and drive management of change in the dynamic and global matrix environment at GDC.



Roles and Responsibilities-




  • Set operational goals & KPI’s for projects & programs according to the strategic objectives of the organization

  • Developing a budget and operating plan for the program including managing deadlines, milestones and processes

  • Plan, implement and manage the overall long-term success strategy for the central team

  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day operations for the RM, PM & BI team

  • Lead cross functional teams for projects & programs involving other internal teams & KPMG business entities

  • Evaluate and monitor the efficiency of shared service teams

  • Oversee support for all programs involving onshore stakeholders

  • Manage operational budgets to promote cost savings initiatives

  • Process Design - Continuously engage with stakeholders & Operations team to understand their needs and define policy, procedures, or systems accordingly.

  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendor

  • Defines the metrics required to measure business performance, develop the process for identifying and addressing performance gaps.

  • Manages complex data and business analyses to develop business plans and make recommendations.

  • Relationship Management - Builds deep relationships with KPMG US, KPMG India, KPMG Global Services stakeholders and work with cross-functional teams.

  • Business Development – Build strong domain expertise and industry knowledge to enable better engagement with customers and improve GDC’s market share

  • Participate or lead strategic projects or programs as required by the CEO / COO from time to time.




Job Requirements



Mandatory Skills






  • MBA from a Tier 1 business school

  • Proficiency in using tools like data visualization & quality tools

  • Planning & forecasting experience

  • Professional project management qualification (desirable)

  • 15+ years of post-qualification experience. Exposure to Big 4 will be preferred

  • Past experience with CEO / COO’s office in Fortune 100 shared service center




Enabling Skills






  • Long experience of effective program management. Having been a strong member of program management team(s);

  • Solid proficiency in program and project management methodologies;

  • Strong knowledge and experience in the use of the various tools to aid program management;

  • Ability to strategize and provide insights to effectively grow the organization

  • Storytelling and MS PowerPoint skills required

  • Analytical mind-set having keen observational qualities and an eye for detail

  • Strong leadership and management skills;

  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures; and

  • The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.

  • Strong executive presence and articulation skills required to influence business leaders and stakeholders

  • Ability to drive change through strong collaborative skills and ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong relationship building skills in a global matrix work environment
