The Director, Continuous Improvement (CI) , is responsible for leading the continuous improvement function and oversight across the Tłı̨chǫ Investment Corporation, its owned and managed companies, and its subsidiaries (TIC). The role is responsible for designing, modifying, and implementing optimized business processes across the business units in the context of continuous improvement and innovation. It is also responsible for measuring and analyzing the performance of the organization's processes to ensure optimal results; championing an organization culture that promotes and sustains quality as an element of superior business performance and client/stakeholder satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and Manage corporate scorecard and continuous improvement programs – monthly, quarterly and annual reporting;
    • Administer the TIC Continuous Improvement program, supporting staff in using Lean principles to improve business processes and customer service to stakeholders (i.e. Implement Plan-Do-Check- Act (PDCA));
    • Development and training of continuous improvement programs for all business units and corporate shared services (Finance, Human Resources and Safety);
    • Assist in developing, managing and reporting the Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) across all the business units;
    • Lead the program for the attainment of an ISO 9001 designation;
    • Continue to manage quality auditing processes to maintain ISO 9001 certification;
    • Assist all business units with reporting, training, promoting and posting KPIs;
    • Liaise with business unit managers to develop divisional work plans that are consistent with TIC’s Vision, Mission and Values;
    • Assist CEO in the areas of risk management & contract review;
    • Assist in development of policies and procedures in conjunction with business unit/corporate shared services;
    • Partner with TIC’s leaders and staff to establish and maintain a culture of quality and improvement;
    • Direct quality assurance operations for TIC to establish clear policies, processes and metrics in line with strategy and regulatory requirements;
    • Establish quality practices that are clear and efficient;
    • Develop and maintain proactive, cooperative and professional stakeholder/client relationships;
    • Participate in the provision of effective strategic and financial planning;
    • Other related duties 


TYPICALLY, THE ABOVE WOULD BE ATTAINED BY:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or industrial management preferred although strong relevant experience in a similar type of business environment will also be considered;
  • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience working in the business/quality improvement field, with at least 7 years’ experience in a senior level management
  • Six Sigma designation
