The ideal Director of International Expansion…

Responsibilities:

  • Grow Poshmark Canada into the largest community of fashion buyers and sellers in the country
  • Be accountable for Canada’s Profit and Loss (P&L), partnering closely with finance and team leads across marketing to drive business growth
  • Recruit influencers, resellers, local brands and boutiques to be the foundation of the Poshmark community and help them succeed
  • Build Poshmark awareness and drive user growth through events, influencer marketing, social media and PR
  • Partner with local payment and shipping providers and the development team to continually refine the purchase and selling experience
  • Manage local and remote support and dispute teams to deliver fast, high-quality resolution of issues and questions
  • Tailor programming and merchandising to local consumer tastes and trends
  • Manage, recruit, and motivate a local Canada team

Accomplishments

  • Strong ongoing adoption and hyper growth of Poshmark Canada
  • Close alignment on business forecasting with finance and team leaders across the organization
  • Healthy user cohort retention, buyer and seller activation, and social engagement
  • Rapid iteration and refinement of an advertising plan
  • Effective social, influencer and PR programs
  • Retention and high productivity of the local Canada team

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of marketing and community development experience in the fashion industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related
  • Experience mentoring and leading cross-functional leaders across an international company
  • Proficient to expert level knowledge of Poshmark’s social community
  • Proven track record of launching and successfully growing an online marketplace to scale
  • Direct experience with online marketplaces and ecommerce platforms
  • Business start-up experience, preferably helping an international company expand and grow
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
  • Hustle and ability to navigate and execute through ambiguous situations
