Position: Director of Nursing / DON, Person in Charge / PIC
Location: Co. Galway / easily commutable from Co. Clare
Sector: Elderly Care
Working hours: Monday to Fridays, 40h/week, on call flexibility request
Reporting to: Group's Area Manager
Salary: €65-85k depending on experience
This medium size home provides a high standard of residential carea as well as specialist Memory Care for residents living with dementia. They also provide respite care to give home carers a much needed break, or rehabilitation after a hospital stay. Owned and management by the largest of Irish nursing home groups, good structure, career progression and competitive salaries are on offer.
If you find caring for elderly people rewarding and if you like taking charge then here is a potential job for you. As a Director of Nursing you will maintain a high standard of care across all units, daily care and activities in accordance with the best practice and within available resources. You will manage a team of professional clinical and non-clinical staff. Planning, development and management will be your part of your daily duties.
You will part of a larger management team, with plenty of external support from other departments. .
To qualify for this fantastic role, you must have a Third level degree in Nursing, Management qualification and be actively registered with NMBI. You will also have a minimum of 3 years experience in working with older people within the last six years of your career. Ideally you will also have good people management experience. You will be of good character, enjoy a challenge and take pride in achieved results
