Job Title: Director Product Management - Data Strategy

Summary:

Genesys is looking for a passionate and driven Director, Product Management in the analytics data space to join our Multicloud CX Business Unit.

The ideal candidate will have a strong product management background, experience working with cross-geo teams, and have a well-rounded technical background in current SaaS technologies.

You will have experience of navigating through the product lifecycle, building on product vision, strategy and taking it all the way through fruition. A great product manager sits at the intersection of business, technology, and creativity. The candidate should possess solid background in data analysis, data modelling, insight, and converting data into product. Working side by side with other product managers and engineering counterparts, you will collaborate to craft and deliver on the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data platform at Genesys.

You will have a strong focus on a “cloud first” approach and concentrate on developing tools, processes, and documentation to achieve successful cloud migrations. The ideal candidate is competitive, analytical, and resourceful with strong business acumen. 

You will be responsible for growing revenues and generating opportunities through new features in product development and executing on strategic business programs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and build a product strategy and roadmap for Genesys Multicloud Data Platform as a new product category 
  • You are a strategic thinker and thrive operating in broad scope, from conception through continuous operation of 24x7 services.
  • The ability to solicit customer requirements from many - often competing - sources, prioritize, and work with engineering and design to deliver.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with distributed, cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze initiatives for ROI and opportunities to drive financial and operational excellence and growth
  • You have solved complex problems and have the aptitude to navigate uncharted waters.
  • Drive strategic alignment with senior leaders using data and insights.
  • Define long-term product strategy by proactively identifying emerging customer needs and looking around corners of business opportunities.
  • Technically savvy and product experience in data management space, with deep understanding in technology and data architecture like Kafka, data pond, data lake, cloud, APIs, and AI/ML is a plus.
  • Assist Marketing team in the go-to-market planning and execution, and messaging and positioning.
  • Participate in specific sales opportunities (customer demos, roadmap alignment meetings, marketing events etc.).
  • Participate in the business development and partnership building activities (demos for potential partners, roadmap alignments).
  • Previous experience as a developer and the ability to have a comfortable conversation with developers.
  • Experience managing products at various stages of maturity, from legacy to greenfield. 
  • Commercialize and take the Data Product to market with the desired revenue bookings and margins 

Skills & Experience:

  • 12+years of Product Management experience in Cloud / SaaS Software development is a must
  • Understanding of cloud architecture and fundamentals of defining scalable multi-tenant systems and microservices based architectures.
  • Understanding of Kafka, messaging, data models, types of data (structured, unstructured, streaming etc.) NoSQL and SQL DB, storage, storage protocols, and API 
  • Experience with Azure infrastructure a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including business, technical, and creative teams.
  • Experience with developing and managing functional/feature requirements necessary to build highly engaged experiences.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in agile technology organizations and who can demonstrate experience of successfully helping customers adopt cloud-based products
  • Strong understanding of features and technology that impact customer experience and customer contact centers
  • Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills
  • Proven experience with analyzing data and using structured problem-solving to make decisions that uncover the next steps of a solution
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, build consensus toward solutions, and defend a chosen strategy to various stakeholders
  • Have experience building complex technical products.
  • Have experience building products that run in public cloud environments using microservices architectures.
  • Experience in CX space would be desirable 

Education:

  • BE/ Btech/ BS Computer Science
  • MBA (Preferred)
