Role Overview:

The Strategy Director is a marketing leader within Mediacom, helping to elevate the quality of Mediacom’s Systems Thinking philosophy and strategic product to inspire all Mediacom recommendations and output.

Having a leading strategic voice with key client accounts, the Strategy Director produces insight-rich media strategy that unlocks creative media approaches that drive growth for our clients and win awards.

They are a compelling presenter, communicator; mentor, able to create stories that excite and engage planners and clients alike.

The Strategy Director works with the Strategy Team, Client Services/Planning, Business Insights & Analytics, MBA, MediaCom Sport & Entertainment, partner agencies throughout the planning process.

Key Accountabilities:

Client:

  • Build proactive, strategic relationships with priority clients
  • Lead strategic development, create compelling strategic solutions and tangible recommendations
  • Attend key briefings and facilitate workshops with clients
  • Global media lead on a key brand for a major client

People:

  • Develop deep, collaborative partnerships with internal teams, clients, agency partners and key vendors
  • Play a lead role in developing strategic skill set, both within the strategy department and the broader agency

Commercial:

  • Identify opportunities for Business Insights & Analytics, MBA and MediaCom Sport & Entertainment throughout the planning process
  • Support creation of the strategic story on new business projects

Product:

  • Champion Systems Thinking philosophy and The System
  • Create insight and idea rich media strategies
  • Develop and present compelling presentations
  • Contribute and share intel, ideas and inspiration within the strategy team and wider Mediacom teams
  • Drive strategic excellence and media creativity from briefing through to execution
  • Identify opportunities for award winning work

You are

  • An experienced marketer with 10+ years’ relevant experience
  • Good understanding of digital framework
  • Experienced leading strategy projects on major brands
  • A storyteller with strong writing skills
  • Systems thinker
  • Ideally have experience of working with multi-market accounts
  • Interested in culture
  • Numerate and analytical
  • A proactive learner
  • Able to simplify data and concepts
  • Collaborative
  • Form opinions and are prepared to express them
  • Outcomes focused
  • Organized and structured
  • Creative
  • Able to mentor junior team members
  • Excellent time management skills
