Define strategy and roadmap for global Testing and CAE considering latest and future market/customer and KAUTEX demands, the disruptive change to mechatronic products including e-mobility and autonomous drive, as well as to changing evaluation tools and processes.
Ensure execution of Laboratory and Validation tests in the most efficient way according to the test specifications and legal or customers' standards - on time, at minimal cost and according to project agreements. Introduce a detailed planning from short to long term utilization of equipment and staff/skills and apply this regularly.
Manage all individuals and equipment at the assigned field of activity including the short term and strategic planning as well as budget and capacity planning. Train the team to future needs, challenge the team's proposals and drive it for success.
Drive and introduce virtual DVP (instead of physical DV) including customers' buy in.
Develop virtual and physical evaluation procedures, test equipment and work instructions / standards according to the KAUTEX and customers' needs by following EHS standards and rules, and keep them up to date.
Ensure the availability of assigned test equipment including calibration acc. to calibration intervals, maintenance and BGV A3 to meet DIN/ISO and IATF 16949 targets as well as internal standards and responsibilities.
Develop and customize CAE tools to KAUTEX needs based on latest technology available.
Ensure all specific tasks regarding EHS and Quality requirements (Legal, Textron and Kautex) are implemented, observed and controlled.
Early communication and escalation of results in case they do not meet expected targets.
Support the zero-failure and flawless launches culture and strategy.
Ensure knowledge about and compliance with Customer Specific Requirements throughout your team and if necessary define training measures.
Ensure availability and effectiveness of organizational roles, responsibilities and authorities for the quality management system to comply to automotive standards and customer requirements especially according to IATF 16949.
Degree in Mechanical or Electronical Engineering, Mechatronics or a comparable education
CAE and Testing Experience
International automotive and manufacturing experience 10 years plus
Experience in leading technical teams in a multinational and multifunctional environment
Understanding of automotive quality standards for mechanical and mechatronic products
