About the role:
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Distribution Manager to join our Institutional team. This is a critical role where you will lead the distribution strategy and drive a team of sales development managers.
Utilizing your expert knowledge, coupled with your magnificent influencing skills, you will seek out opportunities for improvement and be an agent of change. You will drive the analysis of distribution’s KPI’s, areas for development and introduce best practice methodologies. You are the link between Ecolab Institutional Belgium and its Distributors network (sales, purchase, communication and opportunities)
What You Will Do:
You will lead a team of 6 Sales development managers (feedback, development, assessment, motivation);
You will define targets and bonus measures for your direct reports;
You will negotiate national cross-divisional distribution agreements;
You will build up and maintain regular personal contacts with key distributors;
You will manage relations to all relevant internal interfaces (e.g. company managers, national divisions, European Distribution Organization);
You will contribute to all national or cross-functional matters (pricing, marketing, launches, sales promotions);
You will develop and implement a national cross-divisional distribution strategy including planning and control in line with European distribution strategy;
You will plan, implement and control all budgeting activities in the area of responsibility;
You will define annual objectives and targets;
You will provide an adequate reporting of distribution results to European responsible and provide information to divisions managers;
You will report results of customer contacts and planned activities according to guidelines, QS standards and systems;
You will monitor and report markets in your own area of responsibility (customer needs, competitors, prices).
To be successful, you will need:
You have tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or another related field due to studies or experience;
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a business - related environment;
You have demonstrated leadership experience;
You have influencing, tactical and strategic thinking skills across all level;
You have knowledge of financial measurement and ROI;
You have strong computer literacy and a demonstrated use of technology to improve performance;
Industry-related experience in food service, laundry, housekeeping, hospitality and/or pool and spa would be an asset;
You have excellent communication skills;
You speak Dutch, French and English.
Ability to travel will be a prerequisite for this role.
