Project Overview

The ACCIONA‑led consortium, Alkimos SeaWater Alliance, is designing, building, operating, and maintaining the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant in Perth. The Stage1 design‑and‑construct project will deliver drinking water in 2028, providing 50billionlitres of climate‑resilient drinking water to the region as part of a larger Water Corporation program valued at AU$2.8billion. The project supports Perth’s growing demand for water caused by declining rainfall and population growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, track, and control project documentation (drawings, specifications, reports) to ensure accurate version control and timely distribution to relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain document control systems in line with project and organisational standards, including naming conventions, workflows, and approval processes.
  • Maintain document registers, transmittals, and audit trails to ensure full traceability and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Support project teams by retrieving documents, preparing reports on document status, and ensuring secure storage and confidentiality of sensitive project information.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated work experience.
  • Three or more years’ experience in a Document Controller or similar role.
  • Previous experience within an infrastructure or related field highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience with Electronic Document Management Systems.
