Rentokil is currently seeking motivated and enthusiastic Service Driver to serve our Clients in the Wexford area.
Every day, as one of our Service Drivers is different. You will be visiting a wide range of customers, where you’ll be expected to use your problem solving skills to determine the most effective solution.
To carry out services as required at customer sites, install, collect and exchange units ensuring that customers receive excellent service at all times. To identify opportunities for additional sales and meet individual depot & company performance targets.
To be considered for the Service Driver position you will have:
A full Irish driving license with two years’ experience
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy whilst meeting deadlines.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong commitment to delivering customer excellence.
Strong organisation skills to effectively manage and prioritise workload.
Good eye for detail with a high level of accuracy.
Be flexible with working hours, as this role can start early and also end early!
Ability to use own initiative and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
Visit customer premises on a daily basis to carry out services. Ensure that the customers receive excellent customer service alerting your line manager of any problems that the customer may be experiencing.
Where required install, collect and exchange, Cannon Hygiene products at new and existing customers.
Actively seek opportunities to increase revenue passing all leads through your line manager.
Ensure that missed-drops and failed deliveries are minimized and below the individual depot & company targets.
Ensure that all deliveries and transactions with the customers are recorded accurately and signed for by the customer.
Maintain all records and company systems, ensuring that daily debriefs are completed by the end of each day.
Inspect the vehicle on a daily basis ensuring the vehicle is both road-worthy, clean and presenting a professional image of the company.
Maintain a professional and courteous approach to both customers and the general public at all times, particularly whilst driving.
Contact the office on completion of all your deliveries and undertake any emergency deliveries prior to returning to the depot.
Support other drivers and operate on other routes at times of peak demand, absence and holiday cover.
Ensure that all tachograph records are maintained and filed with the depot on a weekly basis. Ensure compliance with all legislation governing driving and break times.
Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation and company policies, including manual handling and vehicle & road safety.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed.
Wondering what a typical day looks like for our Service Drivers?
You will begin your day the moment your van leaves your street each morning.
You will set off to your first customer in your company uniform.
On the Road:
Your day will be spent visiting a number of unique customers. Want the good news? No two days will be the same due to the variety of customers you will meet.
You will service your customers’ washroom products including soap dispensers, air fresheners, nappy bins, feminine hygiene units and floor mats.
Whilst you don’t need to be an athlete, you will work up a sweat loading and unloading units and floor mats for your customers, so you would need to be physically fit.
You will be responsible for keeping yourself safe, using the training we give you to ensure your vehicle is safe at all times and taking care on the road.
Great - home time! You head home taking the company van with you - no travel costs travelling to and from work!
Up to twice a week, you will need to head back to your office base to unload and reload - this also gives you a chance to debrief with your manager, discuss your day and get ready for the rest of the week.
