We are currently working on a Business Transformation Programme, that will include the implementation of SAP (S/4 HANA), Informatica PIM, Acquia Drupal (WCMS) and Commercetools headless commerce across the Group, and the set-up of the Global Business Services (GBS).


We are on an exciting journey to digitise our processes and build a new landscape of digital touchpoints with our customers across B2B, B2C, Commerce and the IoT/connected products landscape. To achieve this, we are currently working on a Business Transformation Programme that will change the internal processes and customer journeys. Changes include the implementation of a new ERP system, Product information management system, Commerce engine, Web Content Management System (Acquia Drupal) and the set-up of the Global Business Services.


Description

The Drupal lead will be part of the Headquarter IT division reporting directly to the Director of Digital. We have a very ambitious roadmap focussed on implementing digital solutions within the Glen Dimplex business units across the globe.


Throughout the last 2 years we have developed a platform which includes Drupal as CMS. The platform currently supports Brand focussed sites and since recent eCommerce functionality. Using Acquia Site Factory we are continuously creating new websites for brands globally while simultaneously developing new features. The intention is to create a scalable, flexible and manageable platform to serve all online business demand across Glen Dimplex.

As Drupal lead you will be responsible for the technical solution design, development and implementation of all Drupal related activities on our roadmap. The roadmap consists of new websites roll-outs, new features and the support of existing websites. We work together with a Drupal development partner. In this regard you will be responsible to brief, guide and validate their development efforts. While some of the development is outsourced, we want this role to have full ownership of the Drupal solution. 

Finally, the success of our platform depends highly on the adoption and use of Drupal within our businesses globally. The successful candidate will be designing features with its business user in mind and accountable for maximizing the value of the platform in partnership with them.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Roll-out additional sites based on existing features
  • Create technical solution designs for new features
  • Collaborate with other technical leads to determine the best solutions across the platform
  • Manage and collaborate with development partners to deliver
  • Manage and triage support tickets coming in from the businesses
  • Manage project updates and deliverables
  • Keep up to date regarding Drupal and Acquia technologies and the technical standards with regarding to API’s and complimentary solutions such as Acquia DAM
  • Engage in team stand-ups and seek collaboration across the group
  • Advocate and be an evangelist for Drupal within the group
  • Ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams in a seamless manner


Qualifications, skills and experience required:

  • Experience working on multi-site & multilingual Drupal 8 instances.
  • Experience working with Acquia Site Factory is preferred
  • Strong understanding of Drupal 8 and core principles.
  • Strong understanding of at least one of GIT principles, e.g. Git Flow, GitHub flow.
  • Experience building responsive websites using Drupal CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Experience managing outsourced development teams
  • Understanding and implementing Kanban or Scrum development lifecycle.
  • Basic understanding and usage of DevOps related technologies




Location

North Dublin, some travel possibly required
