Align Canada is looking for a Senior Manager of Education for our Toronto, ON location. This role will be part of a culture that is helping to improve lives every day through digital dentistry. The Senior Manager of Education will be responsible for championing and translating the customer and commercial needs and developing learning solutions and events to meet them. They will develop the educational strategy and tactics based on needs identified by industry and customer feedback, field inputs and defined needs assessments. Working closely with the departmental Director, professional and product marketing, sales team and others cross functionally to ensure inter-departmental alignment and process, will provide strategic guidance and tactical support to the commercial functions. This person should have operated in a similar role in a company of scale. They will work with internal teams, industry organizations, and external vendors to flawlessly deliver world class events, programs that drive successful results against established strategic objectives, timelines and financial goals. In this role, you will… Conceive and design an education strategy, programs and outreach to fulfill goals and objectives for the market in Canada Collaborate with other senior leaders and other related parties to develop guiding principles, strategies and plans; conduct comprehensive needs assessments; determine education, training and development priorities based on assessed needs, business impact and available resources. Guide the production of education and training development of internally or externally developed learning solutions for a variety of topics and delivery methods including learning campaigns, e-Learning and instructor-led content specific to Canada’s market needs. Steer the process for Professional Relations including identifying and engaging new advisors, consultants and speakers Serve as liaison between consultants/speakers and Sales and Marketing when necessary Assess and fully understand current and future competitive landscape, and help define key areas for training on safe and effective use of Align products. Lead the strategic thought and creative development of event initiatives, proactively managing a team responsible for all event needs from branding, agenda design, content creation, and venue selection to event execution. In this role, you’ll need … 7+ years of experience in management of best-in-class learning and development environments with a company of scale 10+ years of experience in the healthcare education or related field required Proven experience building and launching technology-enabled learning programs. A track record of ensuring the successful implementation of leadership and development initiatives. Ability to operate in a complex, matrixed organization and feel comfortable operating in ambiguous business situations Demonstrated ability to construct and lead programs as well as build from the ground up – versus simply maintaining – will be critical. Ability to influence senior leaders internally to gain support for initiatives, and to execute against the deliverables of an opportunity Exceptional communication skills around sharing and influencing the strategy of the business This leader must be engaging, dynamic, highly visible, and proactive. Knowledge of current and future trends/practices in learning and development Expertise in adult learning theories, systems thinking, and organizational culture.. Not the right fit?
