Job Description
To design and independent review of design submissions of major civil engineering works.
Undertake structural analysis, calculations and prepare design sketches and drawings indicating arrangement and design intent for a variety of transportation structures.
Conduct engineering assessments and evaluations related to existing structures and/or structural alternatives and prepare technical reports documenting the results.
Liaise/coordinate with other disciplines/departments in preparation of reports and design packages for multi-disciplinary projects.
Communicate with clients, sub consultants, approving agencies, etc. for purposes of obtaining design information, presenting design alternatives, and expediting approvals
Qualifications
Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent) – from a University recognized by Professional Engineers Board (PEB) of Singapore
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in similar projects
Demonstrated design experience on Railway, Road, Transport, Traffic
Experience in a consulting environment
Experience in delivering key projects to Land Transport Authority of Singapore (LTA) / JTC / PUB or similar overseas Road Authority/Agencies
Experience in relevant local design standards and guidelines e.g. LTA Civil Design Criteria, Standard Details of Road Elements, Code of Practice for Street Works Proposal Relating to Development Works, Code of Practice for Traffic Control at Work Zone and other statutory requirements including CORENET e-submission experience
