If so, you could be part of our Engineering (Vaccines) function. This is where we support manufacturing and quality operations to run in a lean and flawless manner to ensure reliable supply of our vaccines to people in 90% of the world’s countries. Different challenges arise at every stage, so every working day is different. These challenges might include engineering design, installing, qualifying and ramping up a new production or support machinery or automation assets, helping to plan and execute advanced maintenance methodologies, increasing manufacturing process robustness and manufacturing right first time, or performing engineering changes and asset life cycle management.

Over two years, our Future Leaders graduate programme will challenge and support you in growing professionally and personally. This programme will provide a robust career foundation building technical expertise in the management of engineering capital projects.
You’ll have stretching rotations, within the chosen discipline, that will give you an insightful experience into the engineering side of our vaccines manufacturing and quality business. Through these placements, you’ll develop your expertise in engineering concepts and procedures, in the Engineering Capital Projects dicispline, while broadening your global business perspective.
Engineering Capital Projects
In the Engineering capital projects discipline you will be involved into the process of building the most effective Facility to support the business strategy. The process starts the identification of options to fulfil a specific business driver (usually it is either production of a new vaccines or the increase of capacity for an existing product). You will support the screening of the alternatives and the development of the design for the selected option. After the funding is approved the execution activities starts with the procurement step, construction. Commissioning and qualification, until the final handover of the new plant.

Our Future Leaders programme is designed to accelerate the development of graduates who don’t have significant previous professional work experience in the area to which they are applying. Of course, many graduates who join the programme have worked while studying or after graduation. If you’ve already developed substantial experience working in a professional role in your sector, while you would be able to apply for this programme, you may also want to look at direct entry roles in our businesses, as these may be the best way to build on your existing skills and expertise and develop a career at GSK.
