Job Description

Manage multiple teams which are primarily responsible for new product development. The teams focus is to innovate, design, test, validate and work with manufacturing teams for timely launch of products. Other supporting teams include VAVE, Packaging and Engineering lab.

Look to continuously improve the NPI Process including cycle time reduction, enhanced process capability, utility and effectiveness.

Works closely with manufacturing and operations teams to improve yield rates, identify opportunities for process improvements, and to achieve divisions annual cost saving targets.

Ensuring process compliance and schedule attainment for new product introductions. This needs to be attained while satisfying all relevant industry certifications and standards.

Analyze product costs and sponsor engineering related cost reduction projects. Gives technical support to the other department and train individuals if necessary. Coordinate with Product management, program management teams on timely basis for smooth flow of communication.

Train, coach and mentor Eaton’s engineers in effective NPI Processes. Work with them on their performance and development goals to ensure career progression of all team members.

Project management and deploy contract management policy, with technical, commercial term review processes.

Develop and deploy the internal customer order process, drive continues improvement on the customer response chain efficiency, enable customer access model.

Coordinate finance and sales for AR monitoring, customer reconciliation on regular base

Lead by example in following and inspiring the team to follow Eaton’s principles and leadership model.

Implements Eaton management tools in necessary area for example EBE, ELSS etc. to achieve operational excellence.

Analyze IP landscape related to potential new products. Write patent disclosures on new innovation, and work with the legal team to establish optimal claims for Eaton.
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering
+ Minimum of 10 years of demonstrated and successful experience as the engineering manager in power distribution and control products industry, such as middle voltage components, assembly or low voltage assembly product;

Position Criteria
+ In depth knowledge of product design and process, quality control and project management;
+ Ability to lead and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
+ In depth customer knowledge for both domestic and North American markets
+ General knowledge of domestic trade terms and business contract laws;
+ In depth knowledge of ERP system and internal process;
+ Results orientated, strong responsibility sense & professional attitude;
+ Excellent interpersonal skill and personal leadership;
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills (Chinese and English)
+ Excellent personal motivation with a proven ability to build and work collaboratively in a strong team concept environment, and independently
Preferred Qualification
+ Master’s Degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering
+ In depth knowledge of electronic products including Wiring devices, Miniature breakers, Circuit Protection;
+ Knowledge and experience in ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) with emphasis on home automation.
