About the Role

  • Provision of safe patient care
  • Provision of support to the nursing/midwifery team in the delivery of nursing care as directed by the Registered Nurse/Midwife
  • Provision of care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife within the scope of practice of an Enrolled Nurse specific to service need
  • Liaises and assists Registered Nurse/Midwives with patient care interventions as required
  • Contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required
  • Communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol

Selection Criteria to be addressed:

  1. Current registration Division 2 (medication endorsed) - Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  3. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care
  4. Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
  5. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements.
  7. Must be able to work a minimum of 2 to 3 shifts per fortnight.
