The Role

Reporting into the Head of Sales - APAC, you will be responsible for expanding direct and technical sales to drive value, generate revenue and accelerate our global fabric. Passionate about growth and innovation, you will be a solution focused self-starter, with the ability to build mind share for our product set with meticulous execution capabilities for our Enterprise base. Through a deep understanding of our technologies, combined with a strong focus on aligning it with our partners products, you will be tasked with architecting, growing and delivering Megaport's Enterprise solution offerings, building a better way for enterprises and networks to interconnect.
What you will be doing
    • Create, develop and secure new business through Direct Sales across the Asia Pacific region, with a key focus on revenue generating targets
    • Manage and effectively report pipeline activities to senior management
    • Profile and architect cloud based solutions for Enterprises
    • Learn and develop in depth knowledge of Megaport products and solutions, including competitive products, as well as the products of our key cloud services partners (AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, etc)
    • Research current business drivers, business strategic objectives, internal investment areas and key stakeholders for prospects to develop solution offerings on our network fabric
    • Gather information on target markets, potential clients and the most favorable business models, and partner with the sales management and client management teams to define the most effective strategies to penetrate markets effectively
    • Partner with members of the sales, solution architecture communities and senior management of our cloud service providers and exchange partners to engage in campaigns and programs that will be used to target the potential markets and clients.
What we are looking for
    • Highly technical and personable
    • An experienced SaaS sales person who is used to selling solutions to Tier 1 & 2 SME and Enterprise clients, and into industry verticals such as FinTech, Commercial Real Estate, Insurance, Banking or Accountancy
    • 5+ years of current Solution Sales, Sales Architecture and/or Sales Engineering experience.
    • Consultative selling skills with an understanding of cloud computing and virtual private networking, Data centre Operators or Telco/Service Providers or Cloud Service Providers.
    • Experience in designing or deploying cloud/virtualization solutions in enterprise customer environments is highly desired.
    • First class communication skills both verbal and written that allows you to present with flair to management as well as clients
    • The ability to create your own Go To Market Sales strategy
    • High energy, strong prospecting, qualifying, closing and relationship skills.
    • Must be comfortable working in a remote, globally distributed work environment.
    • Ability and willingness to travel at least 30% of the time.
