Job Description

The Role:
Due to the increasing number of upcoming projects, we are currently seeking the expertise of a talented Enterprise/Solutions Architect to lead the development and implementation of Enterprise Solution Architecture strategies and plans for our clients with Oakton Business Services domain in Melbourne. This is an initial short-term contractor engagement with the possibility for extension.
In this role, you can expect to work closely with the business and technical teams and use the latest industry standards and techniques to consult, build and establish robust, secure and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical architectural good practice and commercial management to support Enterprise Architectural outcomes for client engagements
  • Advising on enterprise and technical architecture strategies, processes and methodologies holistically aligning strategy, processes, technology and resources with client strategic directions
  • Design an Enterprise wide solution architecture framework, integrating existing initiatives (across process, technology, culture and service delivery) into the framework and ensuring alignment across technology streams
  • Lead and coordinate the development of Solution Architectures for the in-flight Program.
  • Identify customer opportunities that align with the strategic plan, assess these opportunities including desirability, feasibility and commerciality
  • Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation strategies for current and forward ICT work plans, programs and projects
  • Produce high level service design documentation that aligns with evolving business requirements
  • Assess current services against best practices and work with team and stakeholders to deliver enhanced Customer Service models
  • Defining, developing, documenting and establishing innovative architecture solutions for complex systems and solution implementation
  • Undertaking detailed design work, ensuring designs are prepared in accordance with standards and guidelines, and developing high-level and functional design documents
  • Identifying and resolving cross-capability, cross-release issues that impact the business architecture integrity
 
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in Enterprise/Solutions architecture
  • Strong consulting experience ideally from an outsourcing or professional services environment
  • Proven experience developing Enterprise Architecture strategies, documents and implementation plans
  • Previous experience in developing, communicating and managing technology roadmaps
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills is essential
  • Proven success in architecture and technology leadership across a wide range of application technologies/platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics AX,  Oracle EBS, ERP, Oracle Cloud (highly desirable) Mobile/Web frameworks, Portals, Web Content Management and Collaboration platforms
  • Demonstrated track record in project delivery
  • Experience facilitating meetings with multiple customers and technical staff, including building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a solid understanding of various business and technical domains
  • Experience overseeing (from a technical perspective) multiple projects
  • Persuasive and adaptive negotiating and influencing skills as well as proven high level communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Tertiary qualification within a relevant business or technology discipline is desirable
