Job Description

The (Snr) Executive plans & executes strategic and innovative media solutions supported by the Manager/Director across all media channels for a group of clients, identifying the optimal media channel mix to maximize business outcomes for each.  

Planning & Trading

  • Confidently plans, manages and executes plans across all channels including digital​​​​​​
  • Confidently uses & understands all buying tools (included but not limited to AQX, eTam, Roy Morgan, Nielsen Answers, Move, Eram)
  • Responsible for the day to day trading and delivery of all campaigns within client portfolio (buying competencies across all channels, including Television buying, weekly tracking & reporting across R&F goals, TARP delivery, CPM delivery, budget management and quality parameters).  Where relevant attend briefings from the Client, Client Lead of Performance team
  • Assists the Manager in delivering accurate, punctual and high quality pre-, mid- and post- campaign reporting for the client across all relevant channels
  • Lead/share market knowledge as key channel champions with broader agency and clients
  • 100% proficiency and accuracy with all financials, budget control, account queries, loading MI’s and Proformas.
  • Accountable for invoicing process accuracy
  • Active role in briefing the media owners & publishers
  • Proactive in terms of highlighting issues with buys, media developments, trends or marketplace conditions that impact buying performance, to be raised with the Manager when identified
  • Assists the Manager in delivering regular competitive reports and updates to the client, including analysis and insights
  • Assists the Manager throughout the planning process, to help deliver a media recommendation across all relevant channels that is innovative/creative, will achieve the client’s objectives and is cost-effective
  • Assists the Manager in analyzing and evaluating media responses
  • You approach your work with a ‘can-do’ attitude and deliver best in class service every day.

Relationship Building

  • Builds relationships within the team and wider agency team
  • Builds relationships with junior members of client teams
  • Builds relationships with junior members of media providers and publishers

Managing Others

  • In conjunction with Manager, assists in the training and development of Assistant/Interns and ensuring they are competent in all tools and systems.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience  in a media planning/trading role with an agency environment
  • Starting to develop media trading/negotiation skills
  • Understanding of all implementation and buying systems (BCC, eTam, Asteroid, eRam, Move)
  • Med level understanding of all media channels, with the ability to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each channel and the impact these have in delivering on the client objectives
  • Critical analysis of all survey/market data ensuring informed buying decisions.
  • Attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
  • Basic understanding all key mediums and how the marketplace impacts media buys
  • Able to gain insights from competitive data and understand the impact on our client’s business, looking for insights that will guide the media strategy
  • Starting to think laterally about the potential solution to a request or client issue
  • Ability to effectively communicate – written and verbal
  • Starting to develop presentation skills
  • Problem solving mentality
  • Ability to manage a broad scope of tasks and manage time & workload to deliver on deadlines
  • Shows initiative and seeks out new projects and tasks whenever possible.

Salary range for this position is $60k-$70k inc super depending on level of experience.
