Job Description

We are looking to appoint an Executive Director to lead and execute our strategy across Australasia whilst building new business and developing creative solutions for existing clients. Financial Solutions is a leading transactional broker in the Credit, Political Risk and Terrorism insurance markets. Our clients are international banks, leasing companies, commodity traders, export credit agencies and multinational corporates. We create value for corporates, banks, export credit agencies and traders by providing balance sheet protection; improved returns on individual transactions and relief of country and counterparty aggregation limits.
The Role
+ Establish a new business pipeline through clear client focused marketing strategies, and successful execution of those strategies through the broking and placement of complex risks.
+ The day to day management of existing clients and the WTW Financial Solutions (FS) Australia Portfolio across Banking, Credit and Political Risk Insurance.
+ Servicing of global Financial Solutions clients who have needs in Australia and New Zealand.
+ Communicate widely with Financial Solutions colleagues globally to assist in cross geography collaboration, learn from and teach colleagues to ensure a deeper understanding of our clients and markets.
+ Identify and work with new carriers in Australia.
+ Communicate and forge relationships across the organisation.
+ Educate other Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) colleagues on FS product suite
+ Liaise with WTW Australia finance, legal and compliance on day to day business activities.
+ Communicate the FS strategy to senior stakeholders in the WTW Australia management chain.
+ Work with clients to create solutions to often unusual problems by ‘thinking outside of the box’.
+ Build strong relationships with clients, colleagues and carriers.
+ Make independent judgements in the interests of the clients and the group in support of the Financial Solution strategy
The Requirements:
+ Educated to a degree or MBA level.
+ A well-motivated ‘self-starter’ with the ability to work as part of a global team.
+ Professional qualifications such as Diploma of Insurance Broking or relevant industry experience.
+ Have a demonstrable track record of strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
+ Preparation of proposals and presentations.
+ Experience in innovative solutions, problem solving and decision making skills - Essential.
+ Proven track record of delivering high level of client service.
+ Skilled at building effective relationships at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates and insurers.
+ Ability to represent the practice and WTW with integrity and credibility.
+ Experience working with and adhering to processes and systems to support client service delivery.
+ Relevant experience with Banking or Credit and Political Risk Insurance, with the associated product and market knowledge.
