Full-time faculty to actively participate in students’ supervision, teaching, research, and clinical training.

Qualifications

  • PhD or equivalent qualification in Orthodontics, with certification from a professional organization such as the American Board of Orthodontics or UK/Australian/Canadian Royal Colleges.
  • Specialist dental qualification in Orthodontics.*
  • Proven experience in postgraduate teaching and supervision of orthodontic clinical procedures.
  • Extensive clinical expertise and up-to-date knowledge of advancements in orthodontic technology.
  • Demonstrated academic leadership at a senior administrative level.
  • A strong research profile in Orthodontics.
  • Engagement with the international academic community.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

* Applicants must meet the eligibility criteria for registration as an Orthodontic specialist/consultant with Dubai Health Authority. Those who do not qualify will be excluded. https://www.dha.gov.ae/

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality didactic and clinical teaching in Orthodontics, including lectures and workshops.
  • Develop, implement, and administer the MSc/Residency in Orthodontics program.
  • Assess and evaluate orthodontic courses to ensure educational excellence.
  • Provide clinical supervision aligned with HBMCDM’s high standards.
  • Conduct research aligned with HBMCDM’s strategy, securing research grants and publishing in leading peer-reviewed journals.
  • Supervise postgraduate research projects.
  • Contribute actively to department initiatives, college committees, and task forces.
  • Engage with the wider professional community.
  • Uphold ethical and professional work practices in accordance with MBRU’s mission and values.
