Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dental Medicine (HBMCDM), Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) is the first medical university in Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai, UAE. MBRU aims to be a global hub for innovative and integrated healthcare education and research. HBMCDM - MBRU offers a 3-year MSc program, open to all nationalities. Job title: Assistant/Associate Professor
Department: Periodontology
Essential selection criteria:
- A PhD or equivalent qualification (e.g. DSc in Oral Biology or relevant field, Fellowship by training from either a professional organization such as the American Board of Dental Specialties or Australasian/Canadian/UK Royal Colleges).
- A specialist dental qualification in Periodontology.*
- An established postgraduate level teaching skills.
- An established experience in postgraduate level clinical supervision of periodontal and oral implant clinical procedures.
- A high level of clinical experience in Periodontology and Oral Implantology.
- An established research profile in the field of Periodontology.
- An established high level of communication and computer skills.
- An established experience in engagement with broad academic community.
- Ability to work effectively under direction and cooperatively in a team environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide excellent didactic and teaching services in Periodontology and Oral Implantology. This will include developing, delivering and conducting lectures and workshops.
- Actively assess and evaluate courses delivered in Periodontology and Oral Implantology.
- Provide high standard of clinical supervision which meets the expectations of HBMCDM.
- Engage in research activities which are consistent with HBMCDM research plans.
- Actively supervise postgraduate research projects.
- Actively contribute to HBMCDM research profile by attracting research grants and publishing high quality papers in leading peer-reviewed journals.
- Actively engage in professional activities in the wider community.
- Effectively ensure ethical and professional work practices in accordance with HBMCDM mission and values.
*Please check the eligibility criteria for registration as specialist/consultant in Periodontology at the website of Dubai Health Authority. Applicants who cannot meet those criteria will be excluded.
