Fairmont Gold Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:
The Fairmont Gold Lounge offers fully personalized service for executive club lounge check-in/out as well as breakfast, afternoon tea with hors d’oeuvres and evening cocktail periods.  Reporting to the Director of Front Office, this highly capable individual will effectively manage the most personalised and polished service we offer, both in terms of room and food and beverage in order to create the most memorable experience for our guests.  Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal guest service excellence
  • Ensure that Guest and Colleague concerns are resolved in a professional and timely manner
  • Review executive floor industry trends and competition for new and innovative product and service opportunities
  • Manage change in the Lounge service.  Strong relationships with Kitchens required to easy menu changes, training and quality of display.
  • Ownership of the perfect arrival and of constantly striving for the best experience in Kunshan.
  • Effective recruitment, selection and training for all positions within the dept
  • Develop a strong team through consistently effective leadership, operations and succession planning
  • Manage room inventories in close connection with Reservations & Royal Service and Front Desk.
  • Maximization of revenue streams from Fairmont Gold Services
  • Maintain department efficiency/productivity
  • Exceed company core standards for Fairmont Gold
  • Be a member of the Fairmont President’s Club hotel wide committee ensuring guest expectations are met and exceeded
  • Execute departmental Health & Safety and F&B regulations, policies and prodecures
  • Effective and timely interaction with all Hotel departments including participation and representation in hotel wide meetings /committees as required

 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year experience as a manager
  • Current or previous experience as an Executive Club Supervisor/manager in a similar operation
  • Experience working in a five star international hotel an asset
  • Highly motivated, positive, well organized, and a goal and results oriented individual who thrives under pressure
  • Proven ability to effectively lead, motivate and develop your team
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Front Office, Food & Beverage and Executive Floor operations
  • Hospitality/Business Diploma/Degree an asset.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese Mandarin (verbal & written) essential
