FCC Risk Assessment and Data Analytics Officer

This position is for an individual with experience in analyzing, understanding and managing complex datasets, who will be part of the Global FCC Risk Assessment Team, reporting into the Global Head FCC Policy and Risk Assessment. The individual will also assist in executing and producing different Risk Assessment reports, which includes the gathering and analysis of different data feeds that need to be analyzed and validated before these can be used as part of the Risk Assessment working papers. The individual selected for this position will be expected to work collaboratively with compliance, risk management and business partners and to find creative solutions for incorporating data and metrics into the risk assessment process.

The primary responsibilities of the FCC Risk Assessment and Data Analytics Officer are:

• Develop strategies for mining and incorporating data into the risk assessments.
• Work with the business and compliance partners to collect information necessary for assessing risks and controls.
• Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior compliance and business management.
• Maintain a centralized data repository that can serve as an audit trail when historical data needs to be reported/reviewed.
• Assist in the automation of different processes within the FCC Risk Assessment team, including the implementation of a common platform where FCC controls can be viewed by multiple business partners within the Firm.
• Assist in drafting the risk assessment reports for each covered business unit, and draft the enterprise report.
• Act as a liaison with business and compliance partners regarding data requests.
• Assist in the preparation of updates and presentations to regulators and senior management.

You Offer

• A bachelor degree in business or related field with 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Deep knowledge of the investment banking industry.
• You possess extensive knowledge in Microsoft Access, SQL, Python and Tableau. Ability to code in Visual Basics/SQL. Proficiency in data mining/management using tools such as Access/Excel.
• Strong understanding of Risk Assessment methodologies, including the identification of inherent risk, assessment of controls and determination of residual risk.
• Solid understanding of risk management programs, including the ability to articulate and identify relevant risks and controls.
• Ability to pull disparate information into a report and articulate clearly the risks and controls for each business division and the enterprise.
• Ability to understand the complexities of each business’ products and services, their associated AML and Sanctions risks and effective controls.
• Ability to work with business, compliance, risk and control partners, and formulate solutions that meet the needs of each.
• Strong facilitation skills and ability to lead risk assessment workshops and calibration sessions.
• Proven track record in identifying and analyzing trends in data. Strong analytical skills.
• In-depth Knowledge of global banking markets and regulatory environment.
• Your work experience includes working on complicated projects through entire lifecycle.
• Knowledge in SWIFT (receipts and payments).
• Detail oriented with outstanding interpersonal and problem solving skills
• Knowledge in banking products and AML would be a plus.
