Stryker are recruiting for a people manager role within the Field Services team. A newly scoped role, this position will be leading a diverse team of hard-working and committed employees and therefore a key stakeholder within this business division.
This leadership position is responsible for driving results and engagement, managing a team that comprises of Field Service Engineers, leads and managers based in various geographic locations across Australia. Working in conjunction with the team, this position will lead, prioritise and help implement service projects that deepen the customer relationship or drive sales growth.
The successful candidate will come from any engineering background, joining a team from diverse engineering employment histories. Stryker are looking for an experienced manager, a passionate people leader, an encouraging and empathetic mentor.

The nine direct reports are based across Australia, meaning this role will be required to travel frequently interstate. Therefore, this role can work remotely and be based in any state on the east coast of Australia (preferably VIC, NSW or QLD).
Motivating the team to deliver on the long-term strategy of Field Service
Engaging, coaching and developing the group to ensure a high level of technical competency and ability to create a great customer experience
Supporting and holding the team accountable, driving them to achieve the defined service metrics
Developing strong relationships across the Stryker business in Australia, New Zealand and APAC, including Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance
Driving integrity and efficiency and partnering with Service and Supply Chain teams
Supporting development and implementation of standard processes
Ensuring technical training and levels of technical competency are maintained for Field Service
Supporting new product integration into the field service teams
Ensuring quality management and maintenance for Field Service.
Skills & Requirements:
Comfortable and committed to at least 30% travel.
Experience in managing teams, ideally in different geographical locations.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to successfully coach and develop teams.
Strong results orientation and ability to demonstrate experience achieving targets.
Demonstrate analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
Excellent communications skills including strong presentation skills.
Ultimately a people person that naturally builds genuine relationships.
