First Focus has just started looking for another Field Service technician to join the team. No two working days for a Field Service technician at First Focus are they same as they support our many clients at their sites across Melbourne. This is a highly varied role, being engaged across multiple technologies, with unlimited scope to advance your technical knowledge and your career. Despite being the face our business out with clients, you will not be on your own, being supported by the team in our brand new Bourke Street office and our team of skilled service desk staff, engineers, project managers and consultants across the country.

In this role you will:

  • Provide onsite support to our customers across Melbourne.
  • Deliver desktop, server and application support within Microsoft 365, AD and Exchange environments.
  • Support Terminal Services and Citrix environments hosted in the cloud.
  • Perform a wide variety of technical support across many technologies.
  • Occasionally contribute to project team work to deploy solutions for customers.
  • Have opportunities to install and configure Servers, Networking and other IT equipment.
  • Get exposure to account management, VOIP, technical presales, and other areas.
  • Work with highly experienced Engineers and Technical Account Managers to maintain best practice environments


  • Desktop support knowledge. You must be familiar with end user support and Active Directory to be considered for this role.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and Exchange.
  • A general knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall.
  • An understanding of backup systems and software.
  • An understanding of ITIL and customer service principles would be highly regarded.
  • Great written and spoken English, with a warm and professional phone manner.
  • Great attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Fast and accurate keyboard skills, with proper spelling and grammar.
  • Experience working with an IT outsourcer or managed service provider (MSP).
  • Experience with ConnectWise or other ticketing systems, Automate (LabTech), and/or Solarwinds Orion.
  • Must have car or motorbike and full drivers licence.
