First Focus has just started looking for a Networking Field technician to join the team. This is a highly challenging role, being engaged across multiple technologies, with significant scope to advance your technical knowledge and your career. Despite being the face our business out with one of our clients, you will not be on your own, being supported by the team in our Botany office and our team of skilled service desk staff, engineers, project managers and consultants across the country.

In this role you will:

  • Provide onsite network support to our customer.
  • Utilise your expertise in routing and switching to maintain and support a frequently changing technical environment
  • Leverage your experience in routing, switching, VLANing and general networking toruble shooting
  • Work with highly experienced Engineers and Technical Account Managers to maintain best practice environments

Requirements

  • A general knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall.
  • Deep knowledge in the networking space, with an emphasis on routing and switching
  • An understanding of ITIL and customer service principles would be highly regarded.
  • Great written and spoken English, with a warm and professional phone manner.
  • Great attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Fast and accurate keyboard skills, with proper spelling and grammar.
  • Experience working with an IT outsourcer or managed service provider (MSP).
  • Experience with ConnectWise or other ticketing systems, Automate (LabTech), and/or Solarwinds Orion.
  • Must have car or motorbike and full drivers licence.
