Position Description
Position Purpose:

  • Manages Asset Productivity Support from a central finance point of view
  • Key Contact for Asset Productivity Leaders, Supply Chain, Shaping Our Future and Local Finance stakeholders on Asset Productivity with coordinating responsibility on specific initiatives
  • Owner of CAPEX Management Reporting
  • Budgeting and forecasting of Asset Productivity KPIs 

Key Accountabilities
  • Enhance visibility of operational, commercial and strategic impacts on asset productivity (CAPEX/Sales, Leakage Rate, Cycle Times, Damage/Scrap…)
  • Follow-up regional action plans on Asset Productivity. Ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting of outcomes.
  • Consolidate, assess and distribute best practices. Actively propose actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide tools and analysis that facilitate collaboration and drive asset productivity efficiencies and improvement with Supply Chain stakeholders
  • Deliver analysis and tools to enhance the inclusion of Asset Productivity considerations in the EU commercial finance support toolkit (e.g. segmented service models – facilitating collaboration with customers in Asset Efficiency)
  • Calculate “compensation for usage” insights that capture the Asset Productivity cost and benefit of strategic, commercial and pricing decisions
  • Extend focus beyond EU Pallets into FMS and Automotive as well

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/ Accounting or certified accountant (e.g. ACA, CIMA, CPA)
  • 5+ years of Finance experience preferably for complex multinational businesses; understanding of asset pooling dynamics preferred

Skills & Knowledge:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge on CHEP Commercial Finance principles around pricing and costing
  • Commercial acumen with demonstrated strength in solving both structured and unstructured problems
  • Advanced Excel skills – Access/Power B.I. preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to enable the effective management of stakeholders
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively to deadlines and without supervision
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills

  • English is a must
  • Other EU languages are desirable-
