Vice President, Finance Business Partner ANZ

Overview
Reporting to the Asia Pacific Region Finance Officer and ANZ president, the VP, Finance Business Partner, referred to as Division Finance Office (DFO) internally, will play a key part as financial advisor and business partner and will be a member of both the AP Regional Finance and ANZ management teams.
The overall objective of the position is to lead and manage all accounting and finance elements for the division. The DFO will be an active participant in the development of organizational-wide goals and strategies, working closely with the leadership team of AP Finance and with the ANZ president.
Responsible for articulating a clear and detailed account of strategic financial objectives. Establishes accountability for the daily financial management, achievement of performance objectives, and financial reporting. Oversights of policies and procedures.
Role
• Act as the primary finance leader for the division
• Ensure that finance is at all times closely integrated with and positively supports the business, providing managers at all levels with the necessary information to maximize revenue, profitability and efficiency.
• Work with the management team in development, coordination and implementation of short and medium term strategic and tactical plans for customers and markets and provide the financial input required to that process
• Coordinate Business Development Finance team in building business cases and reviewing of new opportunities
• Ensure common understanding of business objectives and achieve financial results
• Support budgeting and strategic planning sessions and work extensively with the management team to ensure accurate forecasting process is implemented
• Manage the completion of reporting and provide performance and variance analysis information
• Manage division close and implements processes to delivers accurate forecasts in Hyperion
• Oversee and responsible for finance work in a cluster of countries
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures
• Leads all accounting for the division including recording all expenses, timely and accurate close, reconciliations, local currency balance sheet control
• Ensure integrity and timeliness of all information to be included in reporting for the division, including statutory and regulatory reporting
• Work closely with division controller, AP controller and AP FP&A lead to coordinate closes
• Manage country finance staff
• Maintain strong control environment

• Suitable candidates will bring strong finance related experience in a similar role with a large global organisation
• Relevant qualification in business, accounting and/or a related discipline, with good understanding of reporting, forecasting and budgeting techniques.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to capture the essence of key insights across the market opportunities.
• Must demonstrate a total commitment to the entire business, displaying urgency and ownership. Must have demonstrated skills in areas of capital management, financial controls, accounting, strategic thinking and planning.
• Strong teamwork, results oriented and performance driven with a focus on excellence, interpersonal relations, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills are required.
• Advocate of team concepts, and a leader who initiates and manages change to solve problems. Ability to get along with diverse personalities and handle multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities. Must be tactful, mature, flexible and possess good reasoning abilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent experience in financial analysis and/or deal management
• Financial analysis, business partnering and/or accounting background
• Detail oriented
• Excellent communication skills • Experience working in cross functional teams
• Has a good understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP), SEC reporting and Sarbanes Oxley.
• Working knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion.
